Protection Against Spells, Spirits and Witches

1000 years ago, Father Sean's Templar ancestors were using a magic designed to protect against flying venom, elf-shot and all evil. Flying venom was a term for disease and necromancy. Necromancy encompassed spirit conjuration, affecting physical reality and dealing with the dead. Elf-shot ranged from disease, to attacks by various Fae, to attacks by occult practitioners, especially particular witches and shamans.

They harvested the teeth of hung criminals and the ropes they were hung with left at the gallows. These precious items served as the backbone for magical objects designed to protect the carrier or wearer.

In the US, getting items like these are virtually impossible, as hanging mostly stopped being a form of execution in the late 1800s, and was almost completely stopped by 1972.

The Templar magic was lost to us. Until recently.

Father Sean brought it back.

The operation was on planetary Saturday. The baptism was during the hour of Venus. Father Sean baptized poppets to serve as stand ins for the condemned murderers. The poppets were given resin human teeth to later be harvested. Each tooth was touched to a class two relic of Blessed Seelos, a priest in New Orleans alive at the same time as both men. Blessed Seelos was known to protect people from disease and was active during various yellow fever outbreaks. This made each tooth and later the ropes a class three relic.

The the men (poppets) were brought to a location for their execution. The location was a structure built by a contemporary of both men. Confine them until their hour of execution. The execution was carried out during the hour of Mars. Detail and care was taken to the point where the distance from the men to the ground was the same distance when they were executed.

Father Sean created 6 protective talismanic rings from each man. There will only ever be 12 total. Some are already spoken for.

The ropes were cut into approximately 8-inch lengths. There are only about 100 lengths available. 

This is an ancient, ancestral magic of Father Sean's family.
